Sun, Not Salt - British Council's Culture Connects Project
Ayomitunde’s inspiring project, “Sun not Salt,” aims to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on people living with albinism in Nigeria and the UK. Ayomitunde discusses how he plans to document the unheard stories of albinism using photography, photomicrography, and augmented reality (AR) to debunk myths and stereotypes that affect the community. Through exhibitions, publications, and the power of storytelling, Ayomitunde seeks to drive change and promote inclusive policies that celebrate diversity in society. The sun not salt project is supported by the British Council Cultural Exchange Program, which supports cultural organizations, festivals, artists, and creatives between Sub-Saharan African countries and the UK to create art, build networks, collaborate, develop markets, and share artists’ work with audiences
